Mountain View Ranked for First Time This Season

NJCAA DIII Men's Basketball Rankings

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View men's basketball team cracked into the national rankings for the first time this season.

The Lions are ranked No. 14 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll.

Mountain View (12-6) is coming off a 99-93 win at NJCAA Division I Southwestern Christian College last week. It is the Lions' second win over an NJCAA Division I or II school this season.

The Lions, who were receiving votes in last week's poll, are riding a three-game winning streak, which extends back to before the Christmas break.

Mountain View is 8-1 at home this season, with its only loss a 79-75 overtime verdict to NJCAA Division I Coastal Bend College in the first week of the season. The Lions will host Southwestern Assemblies of God University Junior Varsity 5 p.m. Wednesday before beginning Dallas Athletic Conference play at Dallas College Eastfield 1 p.m. Saturday.
