Bio

Thomas Peters was named assistant men's basketball coach at Dallas College Mountain View in 2021.

He assists with player development, on-court coaching, recruiting, film and administrative duties.

In 2024-25, Peters helped coach the Lions to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Tournament. Mountain View won the NJCAA Division III South Central District title, knocking off the top two seeds in back-to-back rounds.

During the 2023-24 season, the Lions went 16-15, advancing to the South Central District semifinals for the third straight year. Forward Josh Smith was an NJCAA Division III Honorable Mention All-American. 

In 2022-23, Mountain View was 18-13 after bowing out in the South Central District semifinals. The Lions won their first seven games. They put together a four-game winning streak to cap the first half of the season. It was the second straight year the Lions won 18 games.

In his first year with the Lions in 2021-22, Mountain View went 18-11, falling to Dallas College North Lake in the South Central District semifinals in double overtime.
