Chris Carter was named an assistant women's basketball coach at Dallas College Mountain View.
He assists with on-court coaching, player development and recruiting.
In 2024-25, the Lions went 13-12, with a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Central District championship. It was the third straight year the Lions posted double-digit victories. Mountain View beat Dallas Athletic Conference regular season champion Dallas College Richland 78-70 in the district semifinals before falling to Joliet Junior College in the championship game. Jourdan Jones was named an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American.
In 2023-24, the Lions went 10-8, marking the first time in program history they captured double-digit victories in back-to-back seasons. Mountain View put together a seven-game winning streak during the season, and was ranked in the Top 15 of the NJCAA Division III poll most of the season. Germari Harris was named an NJCAA Division III Third Team All-American.
In 2022-23, Mountain View advanced to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament for the first time in program history. Mountain View went 12-9 overall, 3-1 in the DAC. The Lions beat Dallas College Cedar Valley 67-57 in the South Central District championship. Devon Sherrod earned NJCAA Division III Second Team All-America distinction.
