Mountain View Baseball Opens Season Feb. 6

DALLAS COLLEGE MOUNTAIN VIEW BASEBALL SCHEDULE

Dallas College Mountain View's baseball team will open the season Feb. 6 at Cisco College. It is one of 11 games for the Lions in the opening month of the season.

Mountain View, which went 10-33 overall, 3-27 in the Dallas Athletic Conference last season, will host Rust College 4 p.m. Feb. 10 in the home opener. The Lions will play seven home games in February, including two games in the DAC series opener against 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III runner-up Dallas College Eastfield.

Following the third of three straight home games – the latter a Feb. 13 date with North Arkansas College – the Lions will play a doubleheader on Valentine's Day at Wiley College. They return home for a doubleheader against Texas Reds Post Grad Feb. 16 before opening league play on the road at Eastfield Feb. 22. The final two games of that initial DAC series shifts to Mountain View Feb. 24-25.

Each of the 10 DAC series will begin at one of the six Dallas College school's home fields before the final two games of that series moves to the opponent's venue on a Wednesday-Friday-Saturday format. First pitch for every league game is noon.

Mountain View opens March at home against Dallas College Cedar Valley before the series flips to Lancaster March 3-4. Following a neutral site nonconference game at Louisiana Christian University and at John Melvin University March 6, the Lions resume DAC play at Dallas College Brookhaven March 8. They will begin a seven-game homestand with the first of the last two games of that series March 10. The homestand runs through March 18 when Mountain View hosts Olive-Harvey College for the final of three games.

After meeting LeTourneau University on the road March 21, the Lions host Dallas College North Lake March 22 before the series flips to Irving for the final two games against the Blazers. Mountain View will play Dallas College Richland March 29 on the road before wrapping up the first half of league play with two home games against the Thunderducks March 31 and April 1.

After a nonconference game at Angelina College April 3, the Lions host Eastfield for the first of its alternating site three-game series to open the second half of league play. A nonconference date against Bossier Parish Community College April 10 and a road game at Cedar Valley April 12, Mountain View hosts the Suns for the back end of the series April 14-15. That will begin another five-game homestand, which will see the likes of LeTourneau April 18 and Brookhaven April 19.

Mountain View finishes the regular season with a three-game series against Richland May 3-6.
