Willis Chosen as DAC Pitcher of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View's Greg Willis was selected the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A freshman pitcher from Pineville, Louisiana, Willis tossed a four-hit shutout in a 3-0 win over NAIA unbeaten Huston-Tillotson University Thursday in the Mountain View Classic. He went the distance, scattering four hits, walking two and fanning eight in the second of two victories on the Lions' home-opening weekend.

Willis is 1-0 this season with a 0.00 earned run average.

Mountain View (4-1) plays at No. 2 nationally-ranked Dallas College Eastfield (8-1) at noon Tuesday before heading to Hill College 1 p.m. Friday.
