Scott Named National Player of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Mountain View first baseman Cooper Scott was named the National Junior College Athletic Conference Division III Player of the Week.

A sophomore from Austin, Texas, Scott hit .400 with a pair of home runs, eight RBI, four runs scored and three walks as the Lions went 2-3. He had a pair of hits and three RBI in an 11-1 win over Dallas Christian College. He homered and drove in four runs in a 13-3 win over the Crusaders, while collecting a hit each of the other three games during the week.

Scott extended his hitting streak to nine games.

Mountain View (4-8) hosts Galveston College Friday and Saturday in a three-game set. The first game is set for 5 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
