Dallas College Mountain View opened Dallas Athletic Conference play with an 88-64 loss at Dallas College North Lake Saturday.
The Lions (14-5, 0-1 DAC) opened up 12-5 lead before causing North Lake to call a timeout. Before the half ended, North Lake (14-6, 1-0) went on a run to take a 48-33 lead into the break.
The Lions cut the gap to 58-50 in the second half, but in the end, the Blazers were too much. North Lake went on a massive run, and never looked back.
The Lions were led by Justice Marmara's 17 points. Gabe Acay and Jezrael De Jesus Fargas both added 11 points.
The Lions will host Dallas College Eastfield at 6 p.m. Wednesday before hitting the road to Dallas College Cedar Valley 1 p.m. Saturday.
