Men's Hoops Open Season Nov. 1 at Home
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View men's basketball team will begin the season Nov. 1 at home against Jarvis Christian University Junior Varsity. It is the first of four straight home games for the Lions to open the season.
Mountain View, which went 18-13 overall, 2-8 in the Dallas Athletic Conference, advancing to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District semifinals, will play eight home games in November as part of a 13-game opening-month slate. After back-to-back roadies at Paris Junior College and Navarro College Nov. 21 and 27, respectively, the Lions cap the month with home games against Dallas Christian College Junior Varsity and Concordia University Junior Varsity Nov. 28 and 29.
The Lions begin December at Arlington Baptist University Junior Varsity before returning home to meet Southwestern Adventist University Dec. 4. It is one of three home games in December, which concludes with the back end part of its home-and-home with Arlington Baptist JV on Dec. 14.
After the holiday break, the Lions return to the court Jan. 9 for a road game at Southwestern Christian College. Mountain View will play at Dallas College Eastfield Jan. 20 to begin DAC play. The first home conference game is Jan. 24 against Dallas College Richland. The Lions will host defending DAC champ Dallas College North Lake Feb. 17, and finish the regular season at home against Dallas College Cedar Valley Feb. 24.
The NJCAA Division III South Central District Tournament is scheduled for Feb. 27-March 2.
