Lions Pull Out OT Win Behind Price's Monster Game

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View men's basketball team beat Southwestern Adventist University, 93-86, in a Monday matinee overtime victory.

It was the second straight overtime game for the Lions, who will take a 6-11 overall, 1-3 Dallas Athletic Conference mark into Wednesday's final game of the calendar year when they host Dallas College Brookhaven (4-14, 2-2) at 6 p.m. to complete the first round of league play. Mountain View will return to the court after the holiday break Jan. 13 when it hosts Concordia University Junior Varsity.

Ashton Price erupted for a season-high 40 points, going 14 of 21 from the field and 10 of 11 from the free throw line. He also had 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Mountain View overcame a three-point halftime deficit, and forced overtime before taking control in the extra session.

Augustine Chibuko had 14 points and two blocks. He was 5 of 8 from the floor and sank all five free throws he attempted. Tracy White finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Louis Conner had 11 points, nine assists and two steals.

The Lions shot 52.2 percent, and went 17 of 24 from the free throw stripe.
