Price, Chibuko Collect DAC Player of Year Honors
Dallas College Mountain View's Ashton Price was named the Offensive Player of the Year in the Dallas Athletic Conference. Lions teammate Augustine Chibuko was voted the league's Defensive Player of the Year.
Price was joined by Louis Conner as First Team All-DAC selections. Chibuko was a Second Team All-DAC pick.
A sophomore swingman from Dallas, Price is averaging 24.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, while shooting 49.7 from the floor and 71.4 percent from the free throw line as the Lions prepare to compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Tournament in Herkimer, New York next week.
A sophomore forward from Garland, Texas, Chibuko is averaging 14.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game, while shooting 63 percent, including 43 percent from the three-point line.
A sophomore point guard from DeSoto, Texas, is averaging a nation-leading 8.1 assists, while scoring 8.5 points and coming up with two steals per game.
