NJCAA DIII MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-AMERICANS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Mountain View men's basketball's Ashton Price was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Second Team All-American.

A 6-foot-4 sophomore guard/forward from Dallas, Price averaged 24.9 points, which ranked third in the country, while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 71.7 percent from the free throw line. He grabbed 5.7 rebounds, and had 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Price scored a career-high 43 points, sinking 16 of 17 free throws, while pulling down 12 rebounds, dishing out seven assists and blocking three shots in the NJCAA Division III South Central District Championship win over Dallas College Richland. Price had 42 points on 15 of 21 shooting in a win over Southwestern Adventist University. He scored in double figures in all 35 games, reaching 30 or more in 10 as the Lions advanced to the NJCAA Division III Tournament, and went 15-20 overall, 5-10 in the Dallas Athletic Conference.

Price was voted the DAC Offensive Player of the Year, earning First Team All-DAC honors.
