
Mountain View Men's Basketball Tips Off Nov. 1
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View men's basketball team will open the season at home Nov. 1 against Shorter College.
It is the first of three straight home games for the Lions, which advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament last season. The Lions will also host Paris Junior College Nov. 5 in the opening week.
Mountain View begins a four-game road swing Nov. 8 when they play at Eastern Oklahoma State College. They'll also play at Paris Nov. 12 and at Southwestern Christian College two days later.
Mountain View begins a seven-game homestand Nov. 17-Dec. 6. The Lions host Temple College, Arkansas Cossatot and Southern University-Shreveport to close out November. They entertain Eastern Oklahoma State College to open December.
The Lions will begin Dallas Athletic Conference play at home against Dallas College Eastfield Dec. 6. They finish the first half of the schedule with back-to-back home games against Dallas College North Lake Dec. 10 and Dallas College Richland Dec. 13.
Following the Christmas break, Mountain View will resume the first round of DAC at Dallas College Cedar Valley Jan. 14 to begin a five-game conference road swing. They'll meet every league team on the road during that stretch that runs through Jan. 28. The Lions close January with a home game against Cedar Valley to begin a five-game homestand in the league. That wraps up with a Feb. 14 date against Richland before closing the regular season at Cedar Valley Feb. 18 and at Dallas College Brookhaven Feb. 21.
The NJCAA Division III District Tournament begins Feb. 24 at a DAC school.
