LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View men's soccer team tied host Dallas College Cedar Valley, 1-1, Wednesday in a Dallas Athletic Conference game.
The Lions (1-8-1, 0-1-1) were coming off a 2-1 win over Dallas Christian College Monday.
In the draw with Cedar Valley, Mountain View's Nathaniel Velasquez scored on a penalty kick in the 31st minute to tie the game. It was the second straight game he scored.
Cedar Valley's Elias Prieto put the Suns (4-2-1, 0-1-1) on the board in the 18th minute. Mauricio Gutierrez had an assist.
The Suns outshot the Lions, 13-8.
Mountain View goalkeeper Abraham Mendoza stopped eight shots. Cedar Valley keeper Hector Perales made two saves.
In Monday's win over Dallas Christian, Velasquez scored twice. Samuel Bernardion and Martin Vara Jr drew the assists.
Mendoza made four saves in 70 minutes between the posts. Jacob Garcia stopped three shots in 20 minutes of action.
Mountain View plays at Paul Quinn College 3 p.m. Tuesday.
