Velasquez Named Second Team All-American

NJCAA DIII MEN'S SOCCER ALL-AMERICANS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Mountain View men's soccer's Nathaniel Velasquez was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Second Team All-American.

A freshman forward from Houston, Velasquez was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He also earned First Team All-DAC distinction.

Velasquez scored 10 goals, and had one assist to lead the Lions with 21 points. He had two gamewinning goals, and two multi-goal games, accounting for each goal in the pair of wins over Dallas Christian College. He also scored in three straight games.

Velasquez scored against No. 1 Dallas College Richland – the national runner-up – in the NJCAA Division III South District championship match.
