RIDGELAND, Miss. – Dallas College Mountain View men's soccer team exploded for eight goals in a big win, 8-1, over Andrew College Friday.
The eight goals were the most the Lions scored since Sept. 13, 2018 when they had 11 in a shutout win over Southwestern Adventist University.
Jose Tudon, Blake Galvez and Ramon Guardado each scored twice for the Lions, who improved to 2-1-1. Juan Sanchez had a goal and three assists. Nathaniel Velasquez scored one goal, and had two assists. Joely Garcia had two assists.
Mountain View goalkeeper Juan Perez stopped two shots in 70 minutes between the posts. Gerardo Guillen had two saves in 20 minutes.
Mountain View scored seven goals in the second half in the runaway win.
The Lions play at Pratt Community College Monday and at Hesston College Tuesday.
