Mountain View Women's Basketball Tips Off Nov. 1

SCHEDULE

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball team will open the season with a home game versus Jarvis Christian University's Junior Varsity Nov. 1.

On the heels of a 12-9 overall season that ended in the program's first trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Tournament, the defending Dallas Athletic Conference champion Lions begin the season with a five-game homestand, which includes the likes of Panola College Nov. 7, Dallas Christian College Nov. 8 and Murray State College Nov. 9. That stretch signals the beginning of an 11-game home slate in the first month of the season when Mountain View plays 13 of its 25 games.

The Lions finish the first month with four straight home games, beginning with a nonconference game against Dallas College Richland Nov. 21. They host National Park College Nov. 30 to complete the month.

After an overnight, two-game trip to the Houston area Dec. 1-2 for games at Tomball College and Houston Community College, Mountain View returns home Dec. 4 to finish the home-and-home series with Southwestern Adventist University. The first of those games in the series between the two teams is Nov. 16 on the road. The Lions host Tyler Junior College and Clarendon College Dec. 7 and 8, respectively, before finishing the first part of the season on the road for a game against Jarvis Christian University's Junior Varsity Dec. 13.

Following a month-long holiday hiatus, the Lions will return to the court to host two of their three games in January. DAC play begins during that stretch on the road at Richland Jan. 18 before the first home league game versus Dallas College Cedar Valley Jan. 25.

Mountain View will play Dallas Christian on the road Feb. 2 before hosting Richland in the final regular season home game Feb. 2. The Lions conclude the regular season at Cedar Valley Feb. 15.

The National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Central District with Regions 4, 5 and 12 is scheduled for March 1-2 in either Joliet, Illinois or Palatine, Ill.
