Women's Basketball Ranked No. 10 in Preseason Poll
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball team is ranked No. 10 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III preseason poll.
The Lions, which went 12-9 overall, 3-1 in the Dallas Athletic Conference last year before advancing to NJCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history, collected 36 points in the poll. Mountain is six points behind Prince George's Community College, and six points ahead of Monroe College in the Bronx.
Fellow DAC member Dallas College Cedar Valley is No. 14 to begin the season.
Rochester Community & Technical College is the preseason No. 1-ranked team in the country after receiving six first place votes and 90 points. Minnesota West Community College is No. 2 with 84 points, and Owens Community College No. 3 with 78,
Mountain View will begin the season Nov. 1 at home against Jarvis Christian University Junior Varsity.
