Mountain View Wins Third Straight

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball team won its third game of the week – all at home – when it beat National Park College, 79-63, Thursday.

The No. 13-ranked Lions (4-5) improved to 3-5 at home with games at Tomball College and Houston Community College set for Friday and Saturday to complete a packed week.

Germari Harris had 20 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds and four steals, and shot 9 of 17 from the field. LyTaisha Jefferson had 15 points, four assists and four steals, and was 6 of 11 from the floor. Shaniia Davison had 10 points, five boards and three steals, and hit five of 11 field goals, putting three Lions' starters in double figures.

Saniya Black had 12 points, five boards and three steals, and Savannah Lawson had nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.

The Lions shot 45.7 percent from the floor, and were 6 of 18 from three-point distance. They hit 9 of 15 free throws.

Mountain View, whose three-game win streak was its longest of the season, led 37-28 at halftime.

The Lions' next home game is 5 p.m. Monday versus Southwestern Adventist University.
