Harris Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas College Mountain View's Germari Harris was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Harris, a 5-foot-7 sophomore guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma, averaged 24.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.6 assists and four steals per game as the Lions went 5-0 during the week. Harris recorded a triple-double with 43 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over Houston Community College. She had a double-double with 20 points and 12 assists in a victory over National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Park College. She had 26 points and eight boards in a win over NJCAA Division I Western Oklahoma State College.

Harris is averaging 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and six assists per game for the Lions (6-5), who host Southwestern Adventist University 5 p.m. Monday and Clarendon College 4 p.m. Friday. before taking a five-week hiatus for the holiday break.
