Lions Resume Play Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Home
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball team will return to action Tuesday, Jan. 16 at home in a nonconference game against the Dallas Eagles.
Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Lions (7-5) are ranked No. 12 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll. Mountain View has won its past six games.
Next Tuesday's game is the final tuneup for the Lions before Dallas Athletic Conference play begins two days later at Dallas College Richland. League play constitutes a four-game schedule that runs through Feb. 15 at No. 9 Dallas College Cedar Valley.
Sophomore guard Germari Harris is averaging 20.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 4.1 steals per game. Freshman guard Saniya Black and sophomore forward Shaniia Davison are both scoring 9.6 points per game, while pulling down just over nine rebounds per game. Freshman guard LyTaisha Jefferson is averaging 9.4 points and 2.2 steals. Sophomore forward Kimberly Cohen is averaging 9.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 steals.
Mountain View is 4-5 at home this season, and 3-0 on the road.
