Harris Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Mountain View's Germari Harris was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. It is the second time this season she has collected the award.

A sophomore guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Harris scored 29 points in National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 12 Mountain View's 82-72 win at Dallas College Richland last week. She hit nine of 16 field goals for 56.3 percent, was four of six from behind the three-point line for 66.7 percent, and seven of nine from the free throw line for 77.8 percent. Harris also had four steals, four rebounds and two assists.

Harris is averaging 21.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, while shooting 53.5 percent from the field.

Mountain View (8-5, 1-0 DAC) hosts No. 8 Dallas College Cedar Valley (9-5, 0-0) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
