Jones Named Second Team All-American

NJCAA DIII WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-AMERICANS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball's Jourdan Jones was named a Second Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III.

A 5-foot-2 freshman guard from Dallas, Jones averaged 20.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. She shot 50.5 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from the three-point line and 78.5 percent from the free throw line. She scored a season-high 34 points in an 82-67 win over Nelson University Junior Varsity, burying 6 of 11 triples. Jones scored in double figures in every game as the Lions went 13-12 overall, 3-1 in the Dallas Athletic Conference, advancing to the NJCAA Division III Central District Championship. She had 20 or more points in 16 games.

Jones was voted the DAC Most Valuable Player, while collecting First Team All-Conference honors.
