Frank Sheats was named an assistant women's basketball coach at Dallas College Mountain View in 2024.

In his first year with the program in 2024-25, Sheats coached on a staff that guided the Lions to a 13-12 overall record, with a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Central District championship. It was the third straight year the Lions posted double-digit victories. Mountain View beat Dallas Athletic Conference regular season champion Dallas College Richland 78-70 in the district semifinals before falling to Joliet Junior College in the championship game. Jourdan Jones was named an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American.
