Mountain View Begins Second Half of League Play with Point in Hand

SCHEDULE

DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View women's soccer team will host Dallas College Eastfield 6 p.m. Tuesday to begin the second half of Dallas Athletic Conference play.

The Lions, who picked up their first point in DAC action Friday after recovering from a 2-0 hole to tie Dallas College North Lake, 2-2, on goals by Angelique Garfias a minute into the second half and the equalizer by Dominique Graham in the 76th minute, dropped the first meeting to Eastfield (2-10, 1-4 DAC) to open league play.

After Tuesday's home match, Mountain View (0-6-2, 0-4-1) will play its next three games on the road before returning home to host Dallas College Cedar Valley Oct. 13. The Lions, whose leading goal scorer is Garfias with two, have secured both of their ties on home soil.

Goalkeeper Nayomy Cueva was responsible for the last line of defense in Mountain View's back-to-back ties. She made a combined 15 saves in those ties, and has stopped 10 or more in four games.

The Lions' final regular season game is a nonconference match at home against Arlington Baptist University Oct. 18.
