Volleyball Opens Season Aug. 18
DALLAS – Dallas College Mountain View's volleyball team will open the season Aug. 18 with a pair of matches against Victoria College and Our Lady of the Lake University Junior Varsity.
The Lions' home opener is Aug. 23 against Southwestern Christian College. Two days later they will compete in the four-match, two-day Western Texas College Fall Classic. Mountain View wraps up August with a pair of home matches against Southwestern Adventist University and Ranger College Aug. 29 and 30, respectively.
After six straight matches on the road, including a trip to Lamar, Colorado for the Lamar Triangular at Lamar Community College on Sept. 9, the Lions return home Sept. 16 to host Seminole State and Victoria College in the Mountain View Tri.
Mountain View opens Dallas Athletic Conference play Sept. 18 at home against defending league champion Dallas College Brookhaven. The Lions close the first half of DAC action with a home match against Dallas College North Lake Oct. 2. Three days later, they begin the second half of conference play at Brookhaven.
Following a pair of nonconference matches at Southwestern Adventist University and Seminole State College Oct. 6-7, respectively, the Lions return to league play at home against Dallas College Richland Oct. 9. The final road nonconference match is Oct. 13 at Ranger, while the final home DAC match is Oct. 16 versus Dallas College Cedar Valley on Sophomore Night.
The Lions host Jarvis Christian University Oct. 18 in the final home match before capping the regular season at North Lake Oct. 19.
